Environmental sustainability, one of the basic pillars of the European Union energy policy,
requires a continuous reform of the production and consumption resources in order to decrease the environmental impact.
In this sense, the new technologies related to Industry 4.0, including Big Data, robotics, simulation, interconnectivity,
cybersecurity, and cloud computing are clear examples of how to approach the environmental impact
through digital optimization.
The National Energy and Climate Plan (NECPs) 2021-2030: defines the objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions,
renewable energy penetration and energy efficiency. It determines the action lines and the path that, according to the models used,
is the most appropriate and efficient way to maximize economy, employment, health and the environment opportunities and benefits; minimizing
costs and upholding the adjustment needed by the most, CO2-intensive sectors. ANMS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility)
works to create a close link between renewable energy and sustainable mobility.
The environment protection is the main thrust of ANMS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility).
Basic natural resources and environments must be managed in a sustainable way to satisfy the population's food demand and other environmental,
social and economic needs. Climate change, the increasing water scarcity and conflicts over resources access are all the elements that pose the
environmental sustainability challenges and for which ANMS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility) works.
Existing infrastructures is estimated to be associated with more than 60% of greenhouse gas emissions.
At ANMS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility), we work to make infrastructures compatible with social and environmental objectives.
Mainly, avoiding environmental pollution and water contamination and promoting energy efficiency and ensuring access to renewable or low-carbon energy.
It also includes, infrastructures that support the preservation and sustainability of natural resources and contribute to the improvement of the quality life
and well being of people.
Transport has a deep impact in the sustainable development framework, due to, environmental pressures,
social and economic effects and sectors interrelations. This sector has been experiencing a continuous growth over
the last few years and its foreseeable increase, makes achieving sustainable transport a strategic priority
for ANMS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility).
